Even though members live all over the globe, can you sort of tell when AM has shut down for the night? ~

It used to not get quiet here until 1am or so my time, but I have noticed it starts closer to 10-11 now. I didn't put much thought into it because our traffic hasn't dropped overall, but I just looked at the stats now and our US-based traffic is up 10% over the past month. We shifted. I'm not sure who we lost globally or if we just picked up more US members, but about 75% of our people are in bed now.

  • I was on Ask for 5 or 6 years and noticed that as midnight moved across the US the site  became ever quieter. It's not as specific here because we more members from other countries than Ask had but it does tend to get quieter about that time.

  • Oh yes. Between about 9-11am GMT, this place is like finding things to do before Mummy and Daddy wake up and let you play loudly again without getting bored. I'm asleep when things are particularly active :/

  • I sometimes ask my questions when it's quiet to try to get things rolling, but if there's nobody on line it's hard to get a response.

  • I can see that. I sometimes get an itch to post things that I know are going to go unnoticed because of snoozing Americans, things of an increasingly bizarre nature. You know, just for fun.

  • You'd never sneak them past the Californians. They have a nose for the bizarre.

I can tell when the Americans aren't around. There is a drop in activity which isn't a big surprise as they last time JA checked made about 60% of the member share here. I guess the rest of us try to catch up on the activities that have been going on during our nappy time. I wake up to a lot of notifications in the mornings, and go through the questions I've asked before I look up the question boards for new questions asked over night.
