Hanging out with a person who's learning your language can help him or her pick up more than what's taught in textbooks.


 It can also work for you if you're learning a foreign language.

Have you ever tried either of these?

    While taking Spanish in college, I had several Spanish speaking coworkers that would help me. One who was very helpful, actually spoke four languages fluently . She spoke English, French, Spanish, and Lebanese. Her husband spoke six languages. They were an older couple and one of the cutest couples I have ever met.
