Many factors play a role in how we each experience life. Some we can control, some we can't. Some are fortunate some are un. Do you try to understand how those unlike you might have a tougher time getting through life? Do you care or is it not your problem? Why?
I've met white people that live in a slum, I've met black people that live in a slum. I've met affluent Whites and blacks, I know of professional black and white athlete's that make millions, and I know of a black man who has the most powerful position in the world, so why does skin color matter so much to you? Even dividing colored people from white people in a question has racial connotations, I just don't get it,
My life as a whole has not been a good experience and i understand why.. It is as a result of the nature of humans and the nature of this world..
I was born the same race as most of those around me, white.
Whites have treated others so badly around the world, that it doesn't feel comfortable saying it.
I used to go out riding with an old Aboriginal cowboy called Sam. Apart from being very quiet, he was easy, friendly, relaxed and lovely to be with. I was too young to know a colour difference could have a significance on any other level.
When I was about nine our family visited Fiji. That was a wonderful experience. Both the Fijians and the Indians were wonderful to me. The Fijians back then seemed like the happiest people in the world.
But later, when I was 19, I walked through a small village on the East Coast of Malaysia. Everyone in the street stared at me and looked very unfriendly. It was scary. I couldn't wait to catch the bus out of there. Later I was told that many Malaysians hate whites because they remember the British colonial occupation. It is a horrible, helpless, terrifying feeling to feel hated for no fault of one's own.
Malaysia is an Islamic country.. So they probably hated you more because you are a an infidel and you where probably not dressed in the correct manor for a woman in their eyes.. The Malays have periodically launched violent persecutions of their Chinese minority community for this very reason.. Now Malaysia was never a colonial possession of China but they still killed many thousands of Chinese because in islam it is good to wage jihad against unbelievers..
You have a legitimate point there.
I took care to dress in full cover, in salwah chemise, with a full head scarf and no hair showing.
When in Rome do as the Romans do...
Of course you don't get it. Rudy Giuliana said saying "black lives matter" is racist. You agree with the Rudy Giulianis of the world. Nothing wrong with that. We disagree once again. So what? Thank you for your replty BSurf.
Is the burden for your discontent placed
entirely on the shoulders of others or do you count yourself among those whose nature has effected your experiences? Thank you for your reply Adam! :)
((hugs)) Thank you for sharing a perfect example of the point of my question my friend. "It is a horrible, helpless, terrifying feeling to feel hated for no fault of one's own". I think so too though unfortunately and sadly there are many who wouldn't even know what y

ou are talking about and might even vilify you for saying it. They are the problem people in the world and I fear their number is growing hartfire. Happy Wednesday! :)
I have caused myself a lot of hurt in my life as well as others causing me harm... Sadly the greatest harm done to me by others has been done to me by my dad and siblings..
