Today's word: compassion

compassion
kəmˈpaʃ(ə)n/
noun
sympathetic pity and concern for the sufferings or misfortunes of others.

How do you define compassion into your concept?! And, how do you show it in your ways of acting?!

I try not to laugh when someone is crying. I know that sounds really bad, but for some reason I get very upset/anxious when I see someone cry and my first instinct is to laugh. :( maybe because of my nerves? i also want to laugh whenever people are supposed to be quiet like saying a prayer or at a classical concert.

It will be a knee jerk reaction, and yes it's about your feelings being protected. Maybe it's about anxiety. I'm not sure. It's the same some of us gets when people slip on something and might be hurting themselves badly, or at funerals. Oomph.

Thank you so much, hartfire. These are my values, and what I strive for to live by. I won't be perfect and succeed at all time, but I will know what caused my reaction in most cases. :-)
