Thank you, Harry. It's his eyes, I think I must have startled him when I took that picture. He is scarily intelligent but also very doggy, the Collie coexisting with the Spaniel in him :)
I'm sorry Rooster. I know exactly what you're going through. It's also extremely hard coming to the decision to give your heart away again too, knowing how short their life spans are. All mine have been rescues and I always have to remind myself that it isn't about me, it's about giving a dog in need a good home. My current guy (in the pic - the real Harry) is the smallest I've ever had but he has been the biggest handful. lol. Manipulative little brat. But, he's finally starting to learn there ain't no free lunch.
haha. I know the "knothead" breed quite well! They come in all shapes and sizes but you can't beat 'em. My last one of those was a pitbull. I miss her every day.
Are you in California? I know Villalobos relocated to New Orleans but they will travel back to California for a good home. Although they primarily rescue pitbulls, they don't turn away any dog in need. Right now, she has a lot of hounds she is looking to adopt out. Just saying', food for thought. ;-)
JBopine, I guess sending the dog to daycare today was a bad idea? Haha. We are working on his socialization skills, which is only one of his many issues. But, I wouldn't have it any other way.
He may not fully know he is loved and has finally found his forever home, but he is beginning to show the signs of being a happy dog.
