When you start a discussion on aM what sort of responses do you prefer?

Do you like 'em short? Long? Serious? Funny? And do you like to get into discussions with the responders or just ignore them?

  • I actually like humor the best of all! I don't mind if they're long as long as they mean something. Yes, I'll get into some discussions with anyone who responds. One great thing I like about this site is the discussions and comebacks! I always vote for good answers and questions also. Just really nice to just be a member and not have the headaches!

  • There'd be headaches moderating ANY site but I'm aware of the special ones you had on B.

Flo, are you expounding? Good!  I couldn't see your nod through all the rain we've been having. ;)
I agree with Flo as well!!

  • Right on the mark, Flo. I feel much the same.

    I'm with Flo.

As long as I get a response, it's all good.

  • I think you've summed it up. A response -- of any kind -- allows you to judge how the OP felt about your answer.

I feel it is all in the style the person responding feels comfortable sharing.

  • Yep. Every question needs a different type of answer. Some need explanations and some just need a word or two. My answer to this question was just to bug Didge.

  • Sorry, Flo, it didn't work. You'll have to try harder. :)

I prefer to get the answer that speaks out the mind of the responder, I'm fascinated by which way they take my open and more light hearted questions. But the same goes for my more thoughtful asked questions.

  • I find some of yours hard to answer. I've often popped in to give an answer and found that lots of people have posted songs. A written answer feels inappropriate when that happens (unless I get in first) and I'm hopelessly out of touch with modern music.

It doesn't have to be modern music Didge.  It can be anything that pops into your head that you relate to her post.

  • I grew up in the days before Rock and Roll. It's kind of outdated. Still, I'll try harder.

It doesn't have to be music at all. The titles might inspire or associate with something. I dont request or prefer one kind of reply over the other. :-)

Yes, I should have been clearer in my post.  I meant what you just said. Glad you showed up to explain further. :-) This post was edited by Harry at February 22, 2017 6:07 AM MST

I would love a written one. I love diversity. I'm not deciding which way they will go, but I will play along the best I can. I love reading your posts. I don't expect everyone taking part in everyone single question I ask. Feel free jump in though and be the text bomber! Mhmm.
