For a site to make from from Ads, do the people who visit the site have to click on the ads?

or do they get money just for it being there?- i turned off my adblock for this particular site.. and a few others that i wanna support.

  • I so hope it's, for the ad being available. I also turned off my ad blocker, in hopes of helping. If I have to start clicking on the ads, my jaw will drop plum off.

  • We need to click on the ads but even that isn't quite enough. You actually need to interact in some way with the page. Mostly that's not a problem. 

    I asked this qeustion about three weeks ago and JA gave us a detailed answer on Page 2 of the responses. I'll add a link here so you can read it,

    Once again everything I have written
    has just disappeared...AAARRRGGG.
    But I have learned to COPY every couple
    of sentences...haha

         I will not click on any ad. Besides I don't see them
    because of Adblock, and I will not disable it.
    I have told JA this
    and said I would donate to the upkeep of the site, which I have,
    rather than clicking on ads. She is
    definitely OK with that. Says the site makes a few cents
    whenever you click and check out the ad.
         Of course instead of helping her with the site with pennies
    you could step up and do a donation.
    Will send anyone a gift if they donate something.
    just let me know.

         On AnswerBag I was always surrounded with the get a wife ads,
    Girls from a lot of different countries.
    When I complained about seeing all of that wifey porn
    they said, Sorry can't do anything about that.
    so I got AdBlock.
         Don't know what kinds of Ads you all see
    But they thought I should be married am guessing. haha
    For anyone that will match what I donated, will send two gifts...LOL
