How can people still think that African-Americans don't get treated differently by police? Have you seen this story?

White cancer surgeon assaults police officer, only gets charged with disorderly conduct:

Had this been a black driver (assuming they survived the 300 or so rounds cops would have fired into the car) can you help us list all the charges that would have been filed?

Felony obstruction of justice: resisting arrest and evading

Assault with a deadly weapon (the car being the deadly weapon in this case)

What else?

You're right. But I don't believe he got by with it because of his race. It because he was a doctor. There are two different sets of laws...one for poor people and one for rich people. That's why Clinton is not facing charges.

Find me a story that's the same with someone of another race and I might start to see it your way. But, please make sure the story involves an individual who is unarmed, has already had their identity verified, does not pose a risk to the public, has no criminal history, and only bumps the officer as they are leaving. She didn't run him down, she pulled away and bumped him.

*If* you can find me a news article that fits that criteria with someone who is black, I will wholeheartedly agree that something's amiss. Otherwise, we're comparing apples to oranges.

  • I don't live there, but the statistics prove that the whole USA justice system treats Black and Hispanic Americans less fairly than whites. I wouldn't be surprised if it also mistreats any ethnic group that isn't white.
