What is your Seven Sins number?

As they appear listed, if you were going to assign a number (from 1 to five) to each sin according to your inclination, what would that.number be?

For me it would be probably. . .

4 .  . . 4 . . . 1 . . . 3 . . . 4 . . . 1. . .4

Lots of fours in there eh?

  • You know what? You are so going to hate this answer.... but, I think I score less than one on most, if not all.. I've erm had a lot of sex, but lust was not my motive usually. I can be proud, but there again when we are just being honest, it can hardly be said to be a sin... So call it a nice round 1 for each.

Lust uncontrolled can cause disease and some of those diseases cause death.
Gluttony too much food is unhealthy leads to deadly disease, too much alcohol also can kill.
Greed many peace do evil even for money and things.
Sloth have you seen hoarders, put sloth with gluttony and you end up very unhealthy.
Wrath if you cannot control your anger you may get into a fight you cannot finish.
Envy is right there with greed.
Pride many people are too proud to correct themselves when they are doing things that harm themselves and others.

Also many times a person has more than one of these sins to contend with causing all kinds of bad deadly behavior.

The seven deadly (or ‘capital’) sins are “deadly” in that they are the source from which other sins flow.

  • Are those really your concerns tho. Isn't your rejection of.those coming specifically from tour believe that they are sins? You know, God things?
Which is fine, I don't criticise that.
Do you not think that some religious people in their defense and selfrigteousnnes suffer greatly from the sin of Pride??
Im surprised that you framed your answer to Lucia in terms of practicality and not religion.
    I thought that was.very smart.
Btw, my questions.to.you are not confrontational. Im just talking.

I believe that most all of God's directions are practical....they are to help keep us healthy and safe.

The seven deadly (or ‘capital’) sins are “deadly” in that they are the source from which other sins flow. All sin distances us from God, and the capital sins do it in serious ways. When we sin, we tell God, “I want it my way, not Your way.”

I'm guilty of all of them at differing times of my life. Right now, it's #4 - Sloth. This post was edited by Zack at February 26, 2017 12:23 PM MST

  • That one is definitely a bad one. Not calling myself lazy is the.main reason why I don't lay about doing nothing. If it wasn't for me, I probably spend the days watching the wheels turn.
    Thank you Zack.

  • You're right, you're right. A person can glutton along in the absence of patisseries. I suppose you could glut on all seven, or is that six. This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at February 27, 2017 5:11 AM MST

That would be a question all by itself.
What do you think everybody would say your biggest sin is?
