Besides appointing Supreme Court Justices what else can a president do to control the future?

Can Trump force the passage of laws today that will stay on the books and shackle future presidents? He wants to control everything all the time. He continually tries to change the past. Is rigidly and jealously guarding the present and would like nothing better than to be president forever. How close to that can he come? Legally or illegally? Anyone know?

For something to last it must pass through the Congress not simply an executive order.

His executive orders are clarifications to laws passed that instruction by the executive branch.
There are several things that swing back and forth depending on the party in power.
Such as the is funding for foreign country. When the Dem is in we fund abortions..when the Republican is in we don't.
Many laws specify that different things will be up to the administration.

We know he is gearing up for that. That's why he is slashing other budgets and pouring bundles into the Military! Whom do we go to war with first and why excon?  Thank you for your reply! :)

Just for one example, Lady Bird Johnson is the reason you see so few billboards along freeways.

The president cannot force the passage of laws.  Any that are passed can be repealed by Congress in the future.

I recall hearing about how Bush wanted to remain president and would declare martial law in order to do so.  Then I heard the same exact thing about Obama.  Of course, those claims generally weren't made until each approached the end of their second term.  It's a bit early to start with the Chicken Little nonsense.

I have always been ahead of the curve B. I don't wait for "the right time" according to others. I march to my own drummer and always have. So you may think  it's nonsense and premature. I am warning you NOW that the sky is falling.  If you wish to ignore my warning that is your choice. I'd advise your wearing a hardhat though. Thank you for your reply and Happy Tuesday! :)
