I think it might depend on your childhood and how you grew up and whether you were a flight or fight reactor.

Personally, I understand these people better than anyone else. I don't understand people who can ignore people so easily because they are nothing like me.

I understand that you are like that, and I respect that. It's just not me. I've never really had that kind of strength except when I was frozen in fear and too scared to respond.

You have time to waste AG. I don't. So I don't. Your life is ahead of you. Most of mine is behind me. Why should I waste moment of it interacting with those whose only purpose for answering a question of mine is to insult/attack/be rude? That makes absolutely no sense to me. I am not a punching bag or doormat for anyone. It's nice if people like me but if they don't I really don't care. I'm not here to be liked. I'm here to ask questions that occur to me because I'd like to know what other people think. But I will not put up with rude/insulting/childish behavior. I will always ask questions whether people answer them or not. Those who answer with the purpose of engaging in a civil conversaation are always welcone. I appreciate them. The others mean nothing to me and I owe  them nothing. If they cannot be civil I have no time or use for them. I only know how people treat me. They may be saints and angels and wondrous fair to others but that has nothing to do with me. But you know that. If you wish to continue engaging with people who are insulting/hurtful/rude to you because you really think you can get through to them that's admirable. I'd rather spend my time with those whose answers are thoughtful, helpful, informative. I'm here at MY pleasure to please me. If others are pleased too that makes me very happy. That's a bonus. Thank you for your reply!:)

This actually helps me understand you a lot better. I appreciate you taking the time to explain that. You're welcome. :)

And yes, I do believe I can get through to some people. Which often times is a mistake. Which I learn over and over again.

I can't  fault you for trying to get along with everyone. Of course the minute we show up on an internet social site we are "fair game". We can't control  who responds or comments so we take what we get and deal with it according to what makes sense to us. That's all anyone can do. Thank you for your reply AG. Did I wish you Happy Friday? :)

Makes sense. And I am not sure. I tend to assume you wish everyone you talk to a happy day whether you said it or not. But Happy Friday :)!! You're welcome!

I do wish everyone a Happy whatever day it is with one exception. I don't feel like wising those who are rude/insulting a happy anything. I don't wish harm to come to them. But happy? No. I don't wish that for them. I'm not a perfect person by a long shot! I don't believe in envy/jealousy/revenge/retaliation. I also don't believe in wasting time with those who enjoy wasting mine! Thank you for your reply AG!  :)

Those crazy a** people got things all a** backwards. People who annoy/irritate/aggravate/infuriate should repel people.

There are some folks who seem to get off on fighting/insulting/attacking others Zack. They only show up to engage in battle. They rarely if ever show up to contribute positive/thoughtful/helpful/informative posts. And they are "the usual suspects". I can't begin to understand them. For me it would be a very sad way to go through life. So I don't bother with them. Thank you for your reply and Happy Friday!  :) This post was edited by RosieG at March 10, 2017 7:57 AM MST
