Discussion»Questions»Human Behavior» If you were afflicted by/with a condition that rendered you memoryless(amnesia for example) whom would you be? Don't memories define you?
Really? If you had amnesia you wouldn't know whom you were, what you did, who your family/friends were, what your likes/dislikes were. You wouldn't recognize your surroundings or any landmarks. You would be a stranger in a strange land. You would be in an unknown place surrounded by complete strangers. You would be a blank sheet of paper with nothing written there on. So you still say that memory doesn't define you? What would? How could you access a YOU that you had no knowledge of? Where would you start?

if they know who you are I suspect they try and revive your memory by going over who you really are and things you have done. if they don't know you, I guess they try to give you anew identity and make that the new you and maybe new and improved.
