Today is World Book Day. What are some book characters you would recognize by what they wear? (Example: Peter Pan).

Be creative. Just think, kids at school have to create costumes to dress as their favorite book character. Children's books certainly have lots of animal characters, but what about adult costumes?  That is more difficult. There are lots of new books around. Give us the name of the book your character is from.

  • Good selection. Pipi's one I wouldn't have thought of.

And since it's you, Randy, "Crusoe".

He's actually adorable in real life.

    (to me)

I would like to take him home and put him on my dresser with the rest of my knick knacks and dust him once a week and look at him.

    (is that racist?)

Well, I meant the books haha. He is pretty much described as the most hideous man to have ever existed. This post was edited by AG at March 3, 2017 8:24 AM MST

  • Love the quote.
But "cantankerous old curmudgeon"? Reminds me I haven't seen Plingsby on here for a few days.

  • It'd be hard to mistake Tarzan for anybody else.
Sherlock Holmes's deerstalker is pretty distinctive.
And Salome? Well she would be recognised more by what she wasn't wearing.
