Is Ben Carson for real? He spoke of "immigrants" coming here in the bottom of slave ships. "IMMIGRANTS"? Is he really that ignorant?

He knows nothing about conscriptions and slave ships? These people were not willingly going to a new land for a better life. They were taken/hijacked and put in chains. They were SLAVES not immigrants. How can a supposedly "brilliant" anyone with a top-notch education not know that? Spin? Ignorance? What in the he** was he talking about and to whom? Anyone have a clue?

    I did not say just immigrants. But they do meet the definition of immigrants even if by force. It is not the word I would choose but it is not incorrect. 
    Both President Obama and Sec Carson deemed it an accurate and appropiate word. Again it is not the word I would use for these horrible situations. This post was edited by my2cents at March 8, 2017 10:12 PM MST

    He was  WRONG to do that. As WRONG as Carson was to do that. Whether he was as  ignorant as Carson I cannot say StuB. This is second or third time I am calling Obama out for saying that. Do you get the message? Wrong is Wrong no matter the source. I don't defend my team's wrong. FYI

    He is in over his head as chief of HUD. He needs a loved one to tell him to keep quiet so he won't embarrass himself.  I wonder if anyone loves him enough to do that? Thank you for your reply Marguerite and Happy Friday! :)

    Absolutely! I think he was as WRONG to say it as Carson was. I don't know if he was as ignorant. Slaves were CHATTEL! The third definition in the dictionary under CHATTEL is SLAVE.  Contrary to what you and others do..defending your team no matter how egregious the issue..I don't. I am not any more fond of Democratic Crap than I am of Republican Crap StuB. If you notice I am NOT defending Obana here. I am calling him out for that absurd comparison. Thank you for your reply.
