  • There are several.

    Lesotho only borders South Africa
    Portugal only borders Spain
    Brunei only borders Malaysia
    East Timor only borders Indonesia
    Gambia only borders Senegal
    Qatar only borders Saudi Arabia
South Korea only borders North Korea

There are others, but that's what I've got right now :)

Denmark only boarders Germany. Unless you count bridges and tunnels into it.
Gibraltar only boarders Spain. This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at March 9, 2017 9:43 AM MST

  • Norway is a stand-out.
Canada only borders the US, although on two sides.
Ireland and Northern Ireland are technically separate countries.

  • I ran into trouble in Tasmania back in the 1990s. I'd just been to New Zealand and was at a function in Launceston (Tas) when somebody asked me where I was from. "Austrralia," I said, and immediately realised my gaffe. People in Tasmania don't like us to think that they're not part of Oz. :(

  • Hi Element99,

I thought of Portugal, sharing a (disputed) border with Spain only.
