Federal judges in Austin, Texas find that Republicans RACIALLY gerrymandered some Congressional districts. Why is that so surprising?

The purpose of gerrymandering is to create your own voter base. You get rid of the folks whom you know won't support you and add to your district those who will. Everyone knows that. When it occurs that is THE ONLY REASON! Gerrymandering should be outlawed. Why isn't it?

    They all do it and they all do it based on how they believe the population of an area will vote....Which does involve race. The majority of black Americas vote Democrat.
