The insurance brouhaha is ridiculous. OF COURSE healthy people pay for those who aren't! How could it work otherwise?

Insurance companies rake in big bucks. If you have life insurance and die they pay out. Millions of those who don't die right then and live for many many many more years are paying monthly premiums too and they pay for it. If you have an auto accident the insurance company pays out. Millions of people who send in their auto insurance premiums and DON'T have accidents pay for those who do. If you have homeowner's insurance and a calamity happens the insurance company pays out. The millions of folks who have homeowner's insurance too send in their premiums and never ever submit a claim pay for yours. They pay for the folks who do. Why is that such a shock and so awful? Young folks are healthier so they pay for the ills of the elderly. They will grow old and their health ills will be paid for by the young and healthy. And so on and so on and so on and so on and on! C'mon people that's how it works now and how it has always worked and how it will always work. SIGH
