In a game of tennis do you cheer on your opponent. I think the key word is competition.
I detest/despise/deplore competition. It always brings out the VERY worst in everyone. They want to win. So they will lie and cheat and sabotage/undernine others to do so. I avoid competitive people. They have nothing to offer that I want or need
