Trump would go to Congress and ask for a declaration of war on terrorism. How would the wording be? Could he also ask for a declaration of war against immigration? Can you declare war on anything?

So Trump tells Congress he wants to declare war on terrorism. How does Congress react to that? What kind of wording would be used? Could Trump ask Congress to declare war on alcoholism, cancer, drug addiction, sexual perversion? I thought you needed legal entities with specific geographical locations to declare war. Don't you?  He said "it's war and we are dealing with people without uniforms". So how do you tell them apart  if they don't wear uniforms? Trump thinks the 10,000 Syrians are  terrorists. Bill O'Reilly told him that  20% are men of that 10,000. So he considers the 60% children and 20% women to be terrorists as well. Do you?

In this war that the US. is already fighting there will be a lot of collateral damage. I don't know how congress would react, usually you need a sovereign country to declare war on, so I don't have a clue except that we haven't gone through congress for a long time.  As far as the women and children go, that is most of the collateral damage, but not all, because we know through experience that Islam's use women and children in their campaigns against us. Heart wrenching realities come to mind, Hiroshima / Nagasaki.  When so many bad apples are in one barrel, should we destroy the barrel.

I say yes! Along with around 6 other know collaborators.

Trump would actually approach such in a legal way; no phone and pen to circumvent Congress like some other recent driftwood in the Oval Office? Wow! That's impressive.

The last time Congress got involved to that point was with Rumania back on '42. But there's been a lot of "policing" action since like Korea, maybe Vietnam, Granada, Kosovo and others that I can't think of at the moment.

Then there's the "blustering" wars like the War on Poverty (LBJ), The War on Cancer (Tricky Dick, and more recently Lunch Bucket Joe, if a VP can even make such a declaration), The Way on Drugs (Tricky Dick, again), the War on the American Taxpayer by the government/big business . . .

But wait . . . I seem to remember that George Bush declared war on terrorism, worldwide, back right after 9/11 (remember that? no?) But the current piece of driftwood in the Oval Office cancelled that effort in 2013, decided to double-down his efforts on the "real" problem, the US middle class taxpayers . . .

No. The war on poverty has not gained any ground since it was started. More poor people today as a percentage than there were in the 60's.

He would bring a big hot air balloon to the floor (grandstanding of course) and let the hot air out.  That is all he has.
