It depends on the circumstance.
If I want to build a table, I need to know how or be able to work it out.
If the table falls apart, I need to know why in order to do a better job next time.
The real question is why/why not? Or agree/dis?
Just go to Ikea or Wal Mart.

I agree. Knowing "How to" is more important but I am always wanting to know WHY Kg. I do. If I can find out why it helps me to understand a person better.
