Water pistol could easily be mistaken for a real gun and more likely to be pointed at someone.

Toys look very much like the real thing.

    Yeah...a super-soaker looks just like an AR-15.

You better look again. I have a toy ($15) pistol that looks exactly like a Beretta 92.

From a few feet away you cannot tell the difference.

It could quickly get a person killed... That convention will have armed guards who are on edge and willing to gun anyone who pulls a gun out.. And in a split second no one can tell if a gun is a replica water pistol or a real gun...  So take a water pistol to that convention and whip it out and get riddled with bullets...

Real guns doesn't kill, it only protects you, you know? A water pistol is for attacking, mmhmmm. It must be that.

They may be on that list too sweetie. That's what was mentioned in the short article but it said "among other things" and it didn't mention what the other things were. Why would a water pistol be banned though? I mean for cryin' out loud it's Cleveland in JULY! Wouldn't a waterpistol be cooling? Oh. What is a bubble gun or is that a play on "bubblegum"? Thank you for your reply Ele! :)

Can you tell a toy from the real thing?

What would this look like at 10ft?

Lay it next to a real Beretta 92 and you will not be able to tell the difference at 10ft.

You're welcome. I'm only glad I could help enlighten you on the logics of the NRA and GOP. :-)

I'm not into weapons. For me there would be no need for any of the participants at a political convent go wear any weapons, except for security. That way no one has to guess if someone waves around with a gun to "defend" themselves in a non-attacking way. But that will be me.

Thank you for the compliment Tom. I remember them from when I was a kid. We only ever used water. In the summer it was always so much fun squirting one another with water. We'd be wearing our bathing suits. I mean we didn't have a pool so we'd use water pistols or sometimes the garden hose. I would think July in Cleveland would  welcome water pistols. I didn't think of filling them with anything toxic. I wouldn't like acid squirted at me for sure.  Happy Saturday!  :)

Well the only place guns will be banned will be inside the Convention Hall. Outside they'll be allowed. However the ban on waterpistols, tennis balls, etcetera will be enforced outside the convention hall as well if what I read is accurate. That just seems so odd to me. Thank you for your reply SH and Happy Saturday! :)
