House of 1000K is totally brilliant, though 

Yah!!!   They are the two best horror films in the past 25 years.  By large a large degree.   Prolly saved the genera.

His other movies though are pretty meh. The Halloween remakes were better than the originals but the originals and story is chit anyway.  I liked Lords of Salem but the production company edited way tot much from it.  His 31 movie sucked AIDS infected butt-hole.

Lords of Salem was really good, but no where near the first two... I give him Kudos for putting Dee Wallace Stone in that. She was a hoot

I understand why people don't like it though.   It is kinda vague on the plot but the visuals and sense of mysterious horror is great.   Reminds me of Suspiria in a way.

I read the book which details the plot and history of the mythos to much greater detail and makes it easier to see what he wanted to put into film.  Zombie even stated he wasn't entirely happy with it and was pissy that he was forced to cut so much.   Studios really need quite that 1 hour 30 minute box BS for true art movies.   Save that crap for Disney and Rom-Coms.
