What song do you believe has a much better music video than the song itself?



Michael Jackson's "Thriller" comes to my mind.

    Pretty much any modern-day song. They all suck, but some of them have good videos. Thriller is epic. So is the song. Iconic. :)

  • "Here it Goes Again" by Ok-Go. All of their music videos are fairly clever and entertaining, but their music is meh.

    I agree with you on Thriller.  It might be a classic but Vincent Price speaking ebonics was the nail on the coffin for me.

    Nevan and I are on the same page.  When I saw the question the first thing that popped into my mind was their Upside Down & Inside Out video.  The zero gravity effect was very cool but the song is bleah.

    I have to go to work now but I will be back to watch and listen. Even the "still image" on my computer of this video is cool - - Four guys, alone on a plane, wearing pastel colors.

    Were you referring to the what--to-me-look-like-paintballs-exploding? I liked that part the best! Fun video!
    The song is not so memorable to me. (Just like the song Nevan B suggested. I liked the video for that song better than the song, too.)

    And you and Glis agreed with me about "Thriller" - - I didn't think anyone would.

    Yes.  I was talking about the exploding balloons.  I thought it created a very cool effect.  

    Glad I was able to prove you wrong with your stance on Thriller.  Don't be afraid to stand up to bad music!  Haha!  :-)

    EH - - that standing ovation at the end by some of the audience looked a bit false and staged to me, ha!

    The standing ovation was done by the Native Americans that were watching the performance.  This is from a concert, performed in the reservations, called "Music From A Painted Cave." (2001)

    I'm not much of a Sia fan at all. This video came to my mind as another example to my question. I find the video fascinating but the song. at times, a bit annoying.

    UPDATE: watching again, I'm realizing I may like the song more than I thought.

    That was one of the most entertaining ten minutes I've seen and heard in a long time! (But I liked the song, too, ha!)
    This was so funny!
    The two actors in this video are amazing, too -- to look so natural lip-syncing the entire time.
    So funny!

    (I laughed out loud at what one of the wolves said - - I can't print it here.)
