Since the unemployment rate has stabilized, your question becomes complex. Perhaps it is a matter of personal perception. I heard on NPR yesterday that up to 30,000 jobs will be lost in the coal industry, but 250,000 will be created in the solar power industry. It becomes a matter of job shifting. The coal folks will suffer, but the others will prosper. Robots have replaced many jobs, but someone has to repair the robots. I could go on but I forgot to get my coffee and it is getting cold.
