Hopefully not. Oh. Not literally, right? Wellllll, I might be able come up with a few suggestions after counselling with sweet Ozzie. Ahem.
As for urinating, we can do it standing, not a pretty view... and... ahem... is recommendable to remove any clothes below waist line. *blushes*

Like many things, you can go overboard... I once read that during the 30s at a country manor house dinner for a visiting American couple, the American wife asked the host after the fish course if it was ok to smoke. The host, always gracious said yes.. Then called over the main waiter and cancelled the remaining courses of the meal and ordered the port and cigars to be produced. For him, you don't refuse a guests requests... But at the same time smoking occurs after the last course. I think this is going to far, but etiquette is the oil that allows society to function.. Maybe just applied as required without such strict rules
You know that reminded me of an incident...my cooking is well appreciated ...hubby's friends take every opportunity to present themselves at my home often at odd times but I can dish out a meal in a jiffy....I was newly married and 2 of his friends came over, they were smoking....I couldn't bear it I went into fits of coughing, turning red and then pale....poor thing they rushed out...returned later ...but never again smoked in my presence... you are right, etiquette is the oil that lubricates social ties but sometimes that can prove to be a bit too tough;))
OK, ok.. They were not schooled in the art of social mores, to engage in smoking without first gaining the approval of the lady of the house... Something which should not be done... Better?
