Are jets taking off again from the Syrian tomahawked airport? If it wasn't destroyed what was the point? Does Trump send MORE MISSILES?

  • It wasn't destroyed.  Many of the missiles didn't even make land and it wasn't a high level base to begin with.
With all the facts over it, it wasn't meant to destroy anything but was just grand standing and dick waving measure as opposed to actually taking something out.   Albeit beyond the President's Constitutionally granted authority, that seems to be a theme with our last four Presidents.

Oh geez Louise puhleez! Just what we need! NOT! How much did that little excursion cost I wonder? If it wasn't meant to DESTROY the source of the chemical weapons what in the he** did we gain from it?  I dunno. SIGH. Thank you for your thoughtful reply EPEB and Happy Sunday to thee. So what comes next? Any  idea? :(

  • There is still a lot of discussion as to whether the gas attack was caused by Assad, ISIL, or Al Qaeda and Trump's Intel community has failed to provide any proof they have.

This was also a golden opportunity for Boss Hog to create a diversion away from his many scandals which most importantly involve his Russian links and the meddling with US elections. They jumped at this chance.

    D I V E R S I O N... and the media took the bait

I also agree with everything the Evil Pink (aka Glis) said above so no need to beat that dead horse.

It would be ludicrous for Assad to do that just days after two Trump appointees announced removing him was no longer a priority for the U.S.  It has created distraction, as well as giving him some sorely needed political currency, however.

  • Yep!
As much as I hate Assad and that entire mess over there, This is a total publicity stunt!

Trump even notified the Russians before hand that they were doing this.  But...was it actually a  coordinated effort by all parties???

Maybe someone should look into the actual gas attack further. It would not surprise me if Trump & Company were complicit in it it.  I put nothing past him now

He thinks of them as dirt people unless he has a Hotel & Golf course in their country and they give him money

It's like being stuck in a burning building that he won't let them out of and then says how bad he feels when they burn to death.

  • I been reading up on this and it really does make sense that it was a conventional weapons attack that set of an ISIS or Al Qeada rebel groups cache.

  • I've been reading up too and I agree...
The entire situation smells like a an opportunity gone wild.
Now Trump can say that he isn't Putin's lapdog and he has strength.
Interestingly, as much as I despise Bannon and am glad to see him gone, he was booted out of the NSC on the 5th and Bannon was adamantly opposed to any military intervention in Syria whatsoever.  Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • I have no real judgement calls on the reasons for it yet but when it comes to Bannon I totally agree he was likely booted for being too ( choking back vomit ) I can't even say it.

Whether it was coordinated or simply opportunistic I don't know.  I just know the assertion that Assad intentionally gassed anyone right after Haley's and Tillerson's statements is ridiculous.

Trump received approval from damn near everyone who opposed, belittled or disdained him, though...foreign leaders, the press, both Rs and Ds in Congress.  It won't last, but certainly changed the discussion.  War/military action is profitable for corporations and bankers, expedient for politicians, and and mind-numbingly acceptable to the public.

AARRGGHH! I asked the Bunny what we gained from  it and what it cost us GJ. If we didn't destroy the source of chemical weapons then more can come. Did it cost millions to do that? I'm gonna  Google it and see if that figure is available. I wonder how actions like that fit in our military budget? Thank you for your reply and Happy  Sunday. So when we need a diversion sending out a buncha Tomahawks is as good as any to get people focusing on something else! Oy vey! Thank you for your reply and Happy Sunday!  :) So the Bunny is Glis?  Split personality?

I would guess it's a little like throwing a bucket of water on two dogs that you want to stop mating---not a permanent solution, but it at least gets their attention.

It could be the start of "operant conditioning."

But it is likely that there will be more puppies with a year---unless a more focused approach is implemented.

It only took Trump a few days to move from "hands off" Syria to "let's do something---my ratings are in the tank.  I need to do something to distract everybody from my tiny hands and other tiny sexual characteristics."

Let's let things unfold a bit.

Boy Trump's MO is escalating. He used to tell baldfaced dumba** outrageous lies to divert attention. Now he is sending Tomahawks? Nothing like sending missiles to distract! Unfrigginbelievable! :( Thank you for your reply tom and Happy Sunday. Your tag line intrigues me. Will  Trump now continue to  Tomahawk to refocus attention away from TRUMP LAND criminal investigations? At what cost to us? Kinda an over-the-top reaction if ya ask me. Illegal too. Shouldn't he have asked Congress before he did what he did? :(

I'm content to see how the writers for this daytime soap opera of which we a part reach the denouement.
