I know it's nearly impossible to imagine, but what would life have been like if humans were the ONLY species ever to inhabit this planet?

The combined interaction of fauna and insects are all necessary for life to exist as ecosystems, but dare to imagine a world with only humans as its non-plant life forms . . .

  • Wouldn't matter.  You said humans are the only species.  That means no plants, animals, bacteria, protozoa, or fungi.

I anticipated that premise. Please read the post in its entirety:

  • Sorry,   groggy at time of answering.

    Modified answer.....

Mealtime would be unsatisfying, incomplete, and not nearly as tasty.  Meat makes it a meal.

That would be creepy. Slavery and cannibalism would probably be acceptable. There would probably be "lower" humans that would be viewed as lowly animals. I guess it already is/was like that, except it would be worse.
