Probably Monet, if I had to pick. Both are great though. The similarities in the names is nothing short of astounding. It's like Breyers vs. Dreyers ice cream.
Their styles are so different...difficult to compare, to find a preference... Impressionist painters did fascinating studies of women often lower class; here is Manet, La Serveuse de Bocks (The Beer Waitress), which I like very much.
