Is there an "AVERAGE" length of time between pendulum swings? How long does it usually take for the pendulum to swing oppositely?

Figuratively of course. Does the direction of a country switch within days/weeks/months/years? Do values change drastically quickly or do they take a very long time? Getting started is always hardest.  When will the start begin to get the world back on the track of humane/decent/good? This inhumane/indecent/ evil is hanging on far too long and bringing out all the insects from under all the rocks and out of all the swamps worldwide. How much longer?

Good question. Methink the 3rd generation is when the pendulum swings back. We tend to be more like our grandparents than our parents who we rebel from, in general.
