Your photo exudes mystery sweetie. Assuming it is You and not someone else.  It reminds me of "film noir". You know those movies shot in black and white with shadows and light playing a part in the storyline? "Citizen Kane" for instance. Had it been filmed in color it would have lost a lot I think. Same with "Casablanca" or "The Third Man". Mystery. Intrigue. You never know what's coming next. What the sound is in the fog. But I digress! :)

I know the film noir. French cinema had a lot of them. As for the avatar, it isn't me but is close enough. I am older than Scarlett Johansson though, and her beauty is not to be compared to mine. Thank you.

Scarlett Johansson? How she get into the conversation? That isn't her picture. Or if it is I do not recognize her.Now you've become even more mysterious SH! :)

It is Scarlett. I won't take credits for her mysterious look. I took the photo as my avatar because I have one very similar myself, but I won't use a personal photo as my avatar. Scarlett is doing that job just fine. Lol. ;-)

It looks nothing like her from what I've seen  in the past but I certainly take your word for it!:)

It is, you can take my word from it. And yes, is not much like most of others of her. :-)

Of course I take your word for it. I have no reason to do otherwise. I think the point of having pictures taken is for recognition. If no one recognizes you then the point/value of the photo is lost isn't it? Not to beat a dead horse of course! :)

Lol. I don't recall in which occasion the shot she was on in this case, however she's always been good in recreating her own image.

Was that in some movie role perhaps? I've seen a couple of her movies and I never have a problem recognizing her whatever color her hair is. She was married to Ryan Reynolds for awhile and divorced him. I just read she is divorcing her current husband. Maybe marriage isn't her cuppa tea. I think she has a child too but I'm not certain of that. I remember a role she did where she played a Dutch girl I believe and had a painting made of her. I liked that movie a lot. Then there was the one she  was in with Bill Murray. An odd couple but it seemed to work. I don't know if I've seen anything else she's done although recently I do see her on TV in public service ads. That's all I  know about Miss Scarlett! :) This post was edited by RosieG at April 27, 2017 7:12 AM MDT

I didn't see it. Was she as great in that role as Melissa McCarthy is as Sean Spicer and as Alec Baldwi is as The Donald? Thank you for the info SH and Happy Friday! :)

So why must thou withdraw and move on? Did someone make your life miserable? Point me at him/her and I'm gonna take a whack. I may be old and slender but I can smack real hard! I hope no one is driving you away. I've seen that all-too-often. First on Answerbag and now on Answermug. :( I don't know how else to indicate that I'm very sad. :(:(:(:( ((hugs)) I hope you reconder.

Is too complex, and basically not to be fixed under current conditions. I used the thre-step rule: 1) try fix it, 2) live with it if unfixable, and finally 3) move on if you can't live with it. C'est la vie.

OK m'dear. I won't keep pushing. My initial response would be "GET A FIXER" to assist you. But I can see that is not your cuppa tea or you would have done so. Maybe time will take care of it. We all need a break from time to time. Sometimes it helps a lot. Sometimes it doesn't! Here's hoping it will be the former!  Au revoir  Sapphic Heart! :) ((hugs))

Like said, point 1 and 2 have been pursued first. I won't discuss in open forum what has been done, or not. Au revoir. Hugs. :-)

  • On the off chance I do I normally try to see what makes the laugh. I'm normally pretty good at reading people's sense of humour from body language and a few verbal cues. This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at April 27, 2017 3:44 AM MDT

  • It is, and you can really learn a lot in short time about people from what makes them laugh.  They can learn a lot about you too but they have to pay attention.  So it's a good measuring stick to feel each other out IMHO.
