Why is it when my face touches a guy's beard it feels like a thousand hard candies stabbing me all at once?

Hard candies.  

I don't know of any hard candies that have thousands of pointy ends.

Maybe cotton candy.  Something rough like that.  Or little dull needles.  But hard candy?

To remind you to be grateful when he shaves or grows it out? lol
