37% want to repeal/replace while 61% want what we have to be improved. Why is Congress so oblivious to what the people WANT?

Many Republicans RELY on the insurance we have and would be hurt very badly if it were taken away. It isn't just Dems who want to keep it and improve what is there. Why are some Republican Pols so deaf, dumb, blind that they persist in their goal to repeal/replace when that is NOT what the majority of the American people want? They will pay for it in the 2018 elections. Are they playing Russian Roulette? All slots are filled with bullets. It won't be a gamble. It will be the political death of them. Is this really what they want? Why?

Most of the Republicans only have their job because they promised to vote to repeal Obamacare. They have no choice.
    It is going to pass.
If that many people truly don't want it then they will loose in the next election. I think they will be safe.

I think the Senate will ignore it/shelve it. However the pressure from the White House will be considerable so perhaps they will cave as the House members caved. Did you happen to see the chart outlining what having "access to pre-existing conditions insurance coverage" will cost m2c? If it happens to be metastasized cancer it will cost you $172,000 PER YEAR for coverage! There are various costs from that high to a low of $5500 or so if you have child who is  Autistic.  As you know I am 9 years cancer-free. Cancer always has the potential to return which means once you have cancer you are vulnerable. I can't afford that kind of money. Every year I am checked by my gynecologist and oncologist. There are xrays and blood tests. So far so good. But IF it were to return and metastasize and I didn't have Kaiser and Medicare I'd die. Simple as that! I know the Republicans have reduced Medicaid by 25% in Trumpcare bill the House just passed. I  believe 70 million people rely on that so I guess 25% of them will die. I also know that Republicans would like very much to reduce the costs of Medicare. Their bill allows for insurance companies to charge 5 times as much to old people for the same coverage as younger people. At 79 I am an old people person. They also punish the young and the poor. What they want left are the healthy, wealthy and young. They have no use for the very young, the old and the poor and those who are ill.  Woe is us. What is so very nice is that their obnoxious celebration at the White House for having finally passed Trumpcare through the House will be coming back to haunt them regularly during the 2018 and 2020 elections. They are all caught on tape. We know whom they are. We will not forget what they did. They will regret the repeal and replace dearly. We don't have to spend a dime creating advertising against Dem opponents. They did all to themselves! Nice. Thank you for your reply m2c and Happy Friday to thee,

I did in fact see the chart and I don't believe it. No one can pay those figures...which means these people will qualify for some sort of gov health care program. In my state if you get cancer you qualify for Medicaid. I am sure over states are similar. Ever heard of a "spin down" this is where you don't qualify under income guidelines but because of current medical costs....you do qualify.

If Medicaid is cut by 25% who decides who loses coverage? I don't trust your guys to do anything for the poor, the elderly, the very young and the very ill. You don't believe the chart because it makes your guys look very bad. Do you think someone pulled those numbers out of their derrieres m2c? Seriously? Of course people can't afford it. Of course some will die because of it. Welcome to Trumpworld, Trumpland,Trumpwall,Trumpcare,Trumptruth,Trumpfuture. It is all for the wealthy and healthy and powerful. He doesn't give a rat's a** about people like me. Old. Pre-existing conditions. Modest income. Trumpcare smacks the he** outta we the people just to service and enrich his wealthy cronies. What is it that the already OBSCENELY WEALTHY will get from this? A $300 billion dollar tax cut? Just what they sorely need. More money,. Why not take from those who are old, poor, ill, powerless? What are they gonna do? Fight back? It's disgusting as he**. But you don't see it that way. If you did you could never support Trump or the people-killers that make up the Republicans who voted for Trumpcare in the House. They don't suffer at all. They get to keep everything they have. They are very effective in that they can have the power to do whatever they want to we the people. However wait until the 2018 election. We will make them pay for it! 2020 too. They don't deserve having the power. They use itAGAINST the people not for us. They are deficient in every aspect of their jobs. They perform on cue for the power structure and screw us every chance they get...the little people.  Just my opinion. Of course I'm pretty sure others like me  share it. Thank you for your reply m2c.

I don't believe it because no one would/could pay those kind of prices. And I know that these people will qualify for other programs....so this crazy premium that they reported means nothing if no one buys it because they now qualify for some other program.

Time will tell. Thank you for your reply m2c. It's always darkest before the dawn. From where I sit Washington, D.C. has never been darker nor has our future. I await sunrise.
