Childhood heroes are usually real people you knew like Uncle Joe who had cool novelties from the city.

Celebrities are more fictional, we know them only from what their image-advisor told them to tell the journalists, or from believing in the movies they have made, etc.

So I will take the 'real' hero anytime, even if he drink a bit too much now that Aunt Jane have passed.

Uncle Joe sounds like a very interesting person with many trinkets that would be fun to look at.  I would have liked to have had an Uncle Joe.  My childhood heroes were really cartoon characters and Linda Carter.  The Wonder Twins, Scooby-Doo, Wonder Women, and the Road Runner.  It is very nice you had a real hero.
It's nice to see you again.  It has a been a while.  I think we knew each other on Ask.com a couple years back.  It's always brings a smile to my face to see an old time friend.  Take Care and I hope to see you on another question soon.  :) :)

Thanks, but I doubt it. I only ever asked one question on ask.com and it was deleted as 'unsuitable' half an hour later.
So you must be thinking of someone else ;-))

Hi JakobA~ You also may be right.  But, for some reason, your name sticks in my head.  There is always a slight chance I was on Ask.com at the time you posted on Ask.com and it stuck.
All that is irrelevant.  What is important is you are here and we are able to share.  Wishing you great days and happiness and hope still hope to see you on another question whether it be here or elsewhere.  Take Care my friend and thank you for answering my question. It means a lot to me.  I'm not as good at asking questions and I feel I am at responding to them.  Have a great day!  Merlin :) :)

Very good choices Jaimie.  She was one of my childhood heros, too.  I think all guys and gals liked her.  Probably for different reasons..or the same... who knows?  But I thought she was very hip.  Weird as it sounds, she was a close runner up to Scooby-Doo!! The Wonder Twins were another of my heros because I love to swim and the water.  Do you remember them?   Luckily they never aired at the same time!  Big Giggles.  She was very cool.   thanks for answering.  Happy! Happy!

I'm cracking up over here!!! I thought he was the smartest, dumbest dog I had ever seen.  I never wanted a Great Dane and he definitely made that a fact.  I'm sorry those scared you.  I thought he solved all the problems and the kids were just his ride to the where the monsters were.
The wonder twins were Zan and Jayna.  They were members of the Junior SuperFriends.  The had super powers but could only activate them when they touched knuckles together.  Zan could morph into any form of water and Jayna into any animal.  My two FAVORITE things when I was a kid... and as an adult too.  (With the exception of Don, who is my favorite toy and power of all ;))
I bet you gave Linda Carter a run for her money when you got dressed up in your mom's tall boots and wash clothes tied around your wrists.   I can picture it now.  "Wonder Jamie To The Rescue!!!  And such a good American Icon.!!"  I like it!!

I'm pretty sure he has a thing for delusional blondes sooooo... This is gonna happen.

Jaimie, sorry it took me a moment to get back to you.  When we have the opportunity to have a chat, I like to be here in all forms of the words. I had to run off to work yesterday and didn't have a TRUE chance to answer.
I'm glad you wrote his name.  I'm going to look him up right now... just a sec... Good Lookin' guy for sure!  But, you've always had GREAT taste!  You know who he reminds me of?  Or rather some of the pictures he as posted?  Randy D!  I don't think they have the exact hair; but the same body type, for sure!  I'll have to listen to some of his tunes.  His name doesn't ring a bell; but that doesn't mean I don't know his music.  LOOK OUT Linda!  I bet you he would choose you in a heart beat!!  I've seen interviews with her and she definitely doesn't have the dynamic personality and  outstanding looks as you do.  If he is smart, he'd pick you in a heartbeat :)  I'm off to make french toast for breakfast.  It's one of Don's favorites and mine too.  Have a super great day and see you soon!  Love, Merlin
