I think dumb is communicable. That would explain why people are becoming dumber not smarter. Of course there are exceptions. Why so few?

France was smart and elected Emmanuel Macon and rejected/repudiated/humiliated Marine Le Pen the Putin/Trump darling right-wing nationalist populist!  But can we expect more smart in future elections or will Putin do his thing to reshape/change/manipulate/reconfigure the outcome? Americans fell for it bigly. Not too smart.  :(
