Is it ok for a person in a relationship to have a house guest of the opposite sex?

(Or same sex if the person is gay.)
(and to clarify, the guest is not the person's SO.)
(Did I miss anything? O_o)

    lol Bah. The point that I was trying to make was that the individual dates the gender of the house guest.
