Is the worst thing that can LEGALLY befall a prez is removal from office via impeachment? Nothing more than that?

WHAT IF said prez is charged, tried and convicted of criminal/treasonous activity? Could he/she be imprisoned? What would it take to serve a corrupt/crooked prez his/her just desserts or do they always get away with it?
