If you followed your dad's advice when you were young do you wish you had listened to your mother now instead?

I am an equal opportunity ignorer.   I ignored both of them.  

Not really. They tended to be on the same page when it came to advice.

Reminds me of the scene from hitch hikers guide to the galaxy .. the characters are in a tight spot and Arthur Dent seats it's time like this I wish I had listened to my mother .. the other character says why, what did she say?.. to which he replied. I don't know, I never listened
