Wasn't the flower moon in May?

    Buck Moon: July 19
Male deer or bucks sprout new antlers this time of year. This full moon may also be called the Thunder Moon due to the increased frequency of electrical storms in July. Another term for this full moon is the Hay Moon.

  • i dunno, ha. there are so many names for all of them. you may be right. i trusted Google. might be a nationality thing? i really don't know. you mentioned several, there, yourself. i just figured someone around here was probably planting corn like crazy. Google says, the full moon in May is called the Long NIghts Moon. i'm sure it has other names, as well.

i like the FullĀ  Strawberry Moon in June, myself.

  • indeed. simply splendid. something about a night you can see between the shadows... especially when the moon looks bigger in the atmosphere, and is a vivid color. and oh, if it's reflecting on water... that is the best. anyway, full moon tomorrow. looking forward...

  • well... to each their own. some people feel hyped up on a full moon. some people can't sleep.

it will be gone soon enough, fear not!
