How can you defend something about which you are uninformed/ignorant? Either he lied or he doesn't know what he doesn't know and thinks he told the truth.
It isn't a law yet. I hasn't passed the Senate and won't in it's current form. It will take months but eventually if it is adopted you might be booted offMedicaid entirely. Millions of people will lose it pearl. Thank you for your reply pearl.

More than one-third of the total Medicaid spending (36%) is for people who qualify for both Medicare and Medicaid, so yes, it would have a hefty impact upon the elderly and disabled as well.
Hence the reason I said "would have". If either the AHCA or the budget pass as proposed, which I highly doubt, it would impact some elderly and disabled. If a different cut to Medicaid passes, it will depend on the details who is impacted.

I am a senior citizen who is disabled and I have both Medicare and Medicaid. I receive SSDI and SSI because I DID work although I am disabled. My disability became worse and I no longer can work. When my children were young they could have received SSI due to having a disabled parent but I CHOSE to work instead.
The House version of the bill passed by a very slim margin, just four votes. The Senate can only lose two Republican votes and still pass the bill. The article I linked to m2c above lists six Republican senators by name that are concerned about the Medicaid cut, and stated that others in addition to those six have concerns as well. It is not a done deal.
