Why do people use religion as an excuse to be homophobic? Why do they IGNORE the importuning to be kind to one another, love one another, treat one another respectfully? They conveniently cherry pick phrases here and there to justify their homophobia totally excluding anything that offsets it. Stacking the deck. Loading the dice. And they apparently feel very self -righteous about doing so. I don't get it. .Do you?
Technically speaking you are right.
It says you have to love everyone.
That's why being a christian is not easy.
People tend to hate each other. Its our nature.
I am not one of those people. I have NEVER hated anyone or anything. NEVER. Hate is foreign to me and I am very afraid of haters because they are all loose cannons who will go off at any time for any reason in any direction. I don't think hating is in our nature. I think it comes from very evil nurture. A child raised in a racist family will probably be racist too. The parents inculcate hate. What better emotion/thinking does a child know than what his parents teach
? Parents are the primary and first teachers. So the child is doomed to hating through no fault of his/her own except the unlucky accident of being born to hateful people. I pity all children who are in that circumstance. Thank you for your reply OW. We seem to disagree. So what, right? :)
