I like the song :) yeah kindergarten was a hard age for me. I had to start wearing dresses and my teacher used to put me in the supply closest cos I'd have meltdowns about having to take naps ... No joke on either :)
having to take naps is a sacred need, that teacher was c**ty a$$hole who should be deprived of ever taking a nap ever again.. :)
yeah, being poked in the eye with a sharp pencil, learning about abandomnment and jealousy for the first time and not fully understand what they meant, crying at the school's gate because I was no longer taught by my favorite teacher, all that didn't really have any effect on me as an adult... all's perfect in this solid, hard as rock head. :)
lol :) I see you're scarred for life too from kindergarten ;) but I meant being forced to take a nap. I love naps as an adult , but when I was a child I hated to be told to lay still mid afternoon . So I'd have to get put in the arts and crafts supply closet so I wouldn't disturb the other children with my temper fits.
yeah, my nehpew is really upset about being forced to take naps, too.. no one understands that, sometimes, when you have a meltdown as a kid.. it's so much more natural and human that when you have it as an adult, it's a natural, instictive reaction to being held down and controlled.. we learn that it's the cruel ways of the world later on, so we succumb, an instead try to have meltdowns about more trivial things.. like when you're out of pop tarts or something, cause that feels like it's more within our circle of things that we can control.. not the universe or how social constructions are only there to tie us down and move us around like puppies..
but hey, pop tarts! they're pretty awesome, aren't they? s'mores ones are delish!!! :D
