Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), who chairs a Judiciary subcommittee panel that has been driving much of the Russia probe, echoed Grassley’s and Feinstein’s frustrations, and said he was “surprised” Comey would agree to testify at all, “given the fact that we now have a Special Counsel who will likely be investigating matters related” to his conversations with Trump.

In a tweet Friday night, Grassley was even more skeptical that Comey’s testimony before the intelligence committee would actually take place.

“I wld not be surprised if the new Special Counsel Mueller stops Comey fr testifying b4 the Senate Intelligence Comm even tho Comey is willing,” he wrote.

Comey prepared extensively for his conversations with Trump
Before he was fired by President Trump, former FBI director James B. Comey fielded practice questions in advance of meetings and wrote highly detailed notes afterward in his car. (Jason Aldag,Bastien Inzaurralde/The Washington Post)

I thought I heard on the news last night (and I admit I wasn't paying strict attention) that Mueller had given the OK for Comey to testify.

Mueller has stopped all other testimony while he investigates, but he did give permission to Comey.

This should be interesting.   How much can this guy get away with?   Meaning Trump.

Beats me, but so far, he seems to be getting away with a lot.  Whether that will continue once the Mueller investigation is over, remains to be seen.  Frankly, I don't believe anyone will wind up in jail over any of this, but if it gets Trump out of office before he can do any more damage, that will be a start.

Spunky,  that would be so much BETTER than jail.  Getting him out of office?   The only bad thing is that we have no one better to take the staff in his hideous wake.

I think when a President gets impeached like this, his whole staff needs to go.

I'm not crazy about Pence being President either, but surely he can't be as dangerous as Trump.  Yes, I agree that the staff should go also.  Of course, I'm pretty sure that Pence wouldn't have Kushner or Bannon in his administration, but I could be wrong.

I shall be extremely disappointed and ANGRY if Comey is prevented from testifying in OPEN COURT as is his wish so that we the people can listen in. Of course there will be some things he cannot divulge due to "security" reasons. But if TRUMP the a**hole puts a kibosh on it due to Executive privilege I think that is obstruction of justice that cannot be tolerated. Thank you for your reply Shar! :)
