When Futurists told us we would be living in a world when machines do most of the work why did they not tell us cheap foreign labor

here and abroad would be doing the rest?

    Well that's cos they didn't know.. they didn't envisage ANY need for cheap labour as far as I could see.. the premise was that none of us would need to work, or would work significantly less... machines, computers and robots did it all.. so there was no need for cheap labour.
