I looked in on a site that some of my friends are members on, and I saw mods and other members attacking new people by calling them socks, and accusing them of being troublemakers.
The only troublemakers I saw, were the mods and other members.
It's the only site I have ever seen the mods act like that.
I would be gone in a flash if I was treated that way on any site.
Well, since I am NOT there, I have no idea what is up. I only have your word. I am not surprised, but I can imagine people saying that crap about this site too.
To each his own and I am not joining anything that tries to inhibit or down me.

Yes. I've been on the internet since 1909 and have been forced to use many un-friendly sites.
I waited almost a year before joining any site. Although I was invited to become a member of another site I decided to join here.
I enjoy the people I have met here.
If a mod accused me of something I did not do, I'd deactivate my new account.

No site is perfect and there is always something or someone that needs to be dealt with. But what sets this one apart from what I have seen out there, is the sense of real community here. I feel like people care here; everyone from the top admins to most of the loyal members that sign in every day.
I will never understand any site that rewards drama and bullying of their own members, past and present by their own moderators and top administration. Hard to believe those sites DO exist, but they do.
I hope any new member that comes here will feel as welcomed as I did.
There is enough bs in the real world. Why would any new member sign up to be abused on a chat site?

I saw and I am astounded that is allowed to go on. Our friends can hold their own, so I don't need to worry for them.
But that behavior is being observed by people considering becoming an active member and that will bite them all in the ass.
Their loss is our gain. ;)
