I would think she would be made at me for at least an hour.
Cats can have a weird form of ADD.
I have seen several instances of a cat stalking/playing (either with a toy or chasing a live animal) where it suddenly stopped what it was doing and decided that RIGHT NOW was the perfect time to start grooming itself.
I'm not sure what the neurological explanation is, but apparently your cat forgets the nail-trimming trauma quickly and then thinks, "Human! Warm! Play time! Cuddles! Maybe food!"
I guess. She's so weird.
She knows you well enough to know you are done or forgot and she hopes she can too.
Cats are all different, just like people.
One of ours used to sit patiently and would allow me to trim his claws (I just nipped off the sharp tips to blunt them) but wouldn't let the better half touch him. Apparently she drew blood one time by cutting them too close, drew blood, and that was all it took.
Another cat we had that was usually very calm would turn inside out if she (the cat) got a bath. The better half could calm her enough to get her to tolerate it but she would literally tear anyone else up that tried to bathe her. We always though that someone had tried to drown her when she was a kitten (all of our cats have been, or are strays that hang around for the chow and a dry, cushy place to sleep; some for as long as 24-years).
So maybe you got too close with trimming your cat's claws one time? If she comes back to you after a few minutes it sounds like she still likes to snuggle up to you, which is good. It will take a while but just try clipping the tips and after she gets used to that you can take a bit more off. But whatever you do don't go too deep. Cats seem to have a short memory about some things but the memory of that pain will stay with them almost forever. Keep in mind too that you're taking away her ability to catch and kill pray when you do that, at least instinctively. (The front claws catch, the back claws kill; but even without the claws they'll still manage to take songbirds and the occasional rabbit when left to their own outdoors; they still have those big incisors.)
My cat thinks I'M THE BIG PUSSY!
Are you on your cycle.
Lol to that picture!
She wants to get away from you clipping her claws.
She must think when she comes back to you that you won't clip her claws again.
