Age marches on and we are reduced to our essence. We are like coal that needs to be pressed and shaped in order to become the diamond. We have to be buffed and sanded in the form of trials and tribulations in order to build strength of character and wisdom in order to evolve spiritually.
You have to die. Die to the physical, die to the mind and then there is you and GOD. That's what the Hindus mainly see. The ones I've had discussions with.
Time heals nothing. Oh, the memory of things may fade with time, but their scars are lifelong. We may not notice some of the minor scars after a bit, but they're still there nonetheless. But that can be a good thing. Wounds can teach us, make us stronger or help us relate better with others we come in contact with. Wounds that are fully healed are quickly forgotten. And, depending on what caused it, wounds forgotten are destined to be repeated. Every wound we receive helps shape our lives. What we are now (either good or bad) is the result of wounds received earlier in our life.
