  • oh, no. not at all. for some, it's just getting started. for some, kids are grown, parents are off doing whatever or have passed. they often have more disposable income.it can be a real sweet-spot, with the occasional blip.. you know, because life is still life and it can suck royally at times, but i'd say no.. not if you know what you need to maintain health and vigor. 45 and older can go either way, but for some it's pretty kick-ass.

For some yes, but then again it most likely was already way before. Others will stay evergreen, fresh and full of life and joy until their last day. It's not just about age, it's also about health and mental state. The latter being very vital, even if health is not playing along all the time.

Hell no!  Other than a few new aches and pains, getting older is great.  This has been the best time of my entire life.

@PeaPod - I agree although I'd be willing to forego the aches and pains. It's still a good day when I can get out of bed under my own steam. :)

Very true, it's all about health and the way we feel.

At the age of 45 I was in better health physically, emotionally and psychologically than I was in my twenties and thirties.

Yup.  Actually, you couldn't pay me to go back to being 25.  By 45, I was in the driver's seat, in control of my own life.  Turning 50 was even better in my case.

Yeh, I can't deny that it's easy for me to throw my back out doing basic chores around the house, but I know I cannot ever stop being physically active.  I eat well and stay hydrated.  That helps.
