Why is everyone suddenly allergic to cats? Do you think these people are just trying to get out of loving cats?

LOL  I've been allergic to cats for over 20 years now. I had them as a child, but I became allergic to then as I became older.

That's a good point. It seems like everyone and their mama is allergic to kitties! Or so they say...

Maybe it just seems that way? Is there anything cat's give off that dogs or other animals don't. I've heard of a condition that humans get from cats called Catitis and it can be deadly.

I don't know, but I've never been allergic to cats. As it happens I love animals and I've always been partial to cats. The cat I have now is the seventh one I've had. I had my first one in 1968.

It does kind of seem like everyone is sometimes. How are they such a popular pet still if so many people are allergic to them? Must be less than it seems. I love cats and I'm not allergic to anything.

(Why didn't I think of that strategy a year ago?)
