  • RosieG, every state is important. We are called the "United" States for good reason.

Equally important? Does population matter? How about income?  Do all states have an equal number of billionaires who can pull strings and buy elections and get things done? Do all states have equal natural resources? Do all states have equally essential manufacturers and what about universities? Some are world class and some aren't so hot. So I guess  I disagree with thee. Washington, D.C. isn't even a state and look at the power it wields! New York State? California? Pit them against any other two states. How do you measure GREAT? Thank you for your reply Hezekiah. Remember Texas keeps threatening to leave the Union. At least during Rick Perry's time as Guv. Something was being floated in California awhile back to divide the state in two..northern and southern. So being "United" isn't very meaningful. Currently we are actually the Disunited States aren't we? REDS and BLUES? Never the twain shall meet and greet and be cordial. But I digress! :)
