    Haaaahaaahaaahaaaaaaaaaaaaa

    You get it, don't you?

Exactly.  The dinosaurs need to leave the earth and they know so they want to take it with them.  Why should anyone else have it once they are gone?

Your words are racist but it is allowed because left wing crazies can say anything in today's sick and perverted culture. Obviously there are two sets of standards on this site and the world. If any other color was substituted for white, the question would have be removed from the site. But since double standards are alive and well in this country, you get a pass. Gee aren't you brilliant and special? How does it feel to be so patronizing, narcissistic and arrogant that you can not recognize your own racism? I guess you are a lot like the President of the US, so wrapped up in your own moral relativist bubble of a world you just can't recognize your own racism. What a shock!!!

It shows on just about every darn question this poster posts, then when another left wing crazie pats her on the back for it, they both then celebrate the insanity.

Maybe the old white people should have their votes counted as a 3/5th vote? I am sure many left wing lunatics would approve of this 3/5th measure.

I see it as a worrying sign that the western world is losing its traditional values.

I posted that last one before I read the other answers on this page. The demographic of the UK is of a mostly white and aging populace, so not a minority at all, shelley. The immigrants from the EU are the same race as the majority, white, but from different nations, so the Brexit voters were motivated by nationalism, not racialism.
Every study of the demographics of those who support Trump, and those who support Brexit that I heard, says that they are mostly older white people, so Rosie was not being racialist, merely commenting on the demographics as they are believed to be.
Frankly, you US conservatives seem to take every valid question or comment posted that has a liberal standpoint as a personal attack. Western democrasies believe in freedom of speech, and everyone on this website is entitled to their point of view, however much anyone else disagrees with it. If we listen to each other, we can learn from each other, but I see a lot of sniping at and insulting each other from both conservatives and liberals.
Listen a minute. America is meant to be a nation of immigrants; give us your hungry, your tired, your poor, and so forth. Do you want to see it highjacked by someone who talks about building walls to keep people out, and who insults and belittles his opponents, rather than take part in serious debate? You call yourselves conservatives, but support someone who abandons the very values that are the foundation of your country? Similarly, the UK is part of the european liberal tradition, and the Brexit vote, which was largely about immigration, because the Brexit people realised they could not win on the economic argument, and sovereignity is a somewhat amorphous concept anyway, was an abandonment of the traditional values of Britain. The western world, as I said in my original short posting, seems to have abandoned its moral and intellectual core, and I find that utterly terrifying. We are supposed to stand up for human rights, and a certain justice. Where is that in the west, when Donald Trump is a presidential candidate, and people who create little flags reading "Leave the EU. No more Polish vermin" (I saw that dropped in the street) won the referendum? If people in one nation, or one political party, cannot cooperate together, for their mutual benefit, then what hope is there of getting cooperation between nations? I do not want to live in a world like that. Call me naive if you must, but I still believe in a world where people come together, despite their differences, because we are stronger if we work through those differences, recognise our common humanity, and learn to do what is best for all of us.

How do you know the 'Out' voters were 'old white people' ? Or the people rooting for Trumph.

I any case senility rarely last more than 5-10 years. There simply are not enough senile people to dominate an election by themselves.

Dismissing and ridiculing people who we disagree with kills democracy. So many people lack the emotional maturity to disagree respectfully and with dialogue.

So on this post we have senility, dinosaurs, left wing crazies/lunatics... (I know the question was intended a little tongue-in-cheek.)

Democracy, particularly in the US but not exclusively, is degenerating to non-rational tribalism, a diatribe of hate. It's rather sad to watch.

  • That spread is certainly similar Rosie, though of course not absolute.

It merely reflects naturally differing outlooks, priorities and perceived needs.  I would be surprised if I found any democratic process that had people of widely differing age groups vote similarly in overwhelming numbers.  Simply put, people of different ages view the world differently.

That's part of the attraction of human society.  We are different for many reasons.  That we don't riot weekly over our differences is indicative, among other things, of a basic decency we all have.
